Meet Nugget! This charming, 1.5-year-old red Miniature Pinscher is looking for a loving forever home. Born on 9/19/23, Nugget comes from a champion bloodline, with both of his parents being show dog champions. While he was once destined to follow in their footsteps, Nugget grew a bit too tall for the show ring, standing at 13.5 inches. Despite this, he’s still as handsome and full of personality as they come! He was reluctantly surrendered – his owner is facing some health issues.

Nugget is a small but mighty little guy who weighs in at 11 pounds, though he still needs to gain a bit more weight. He’s a social butterfly, having lived with other dogs and even a cat, and he absolutely loves to play and interact with them. He’s settled into his foster home nicely, where he’s learning the ropes of his new environment, including working on potty training and his cues. He does wear a belly band indoors to help with marking but is progressing well.

This sweet boy has already been fully vetted and is crate-trained, although he’s enjoying more time out of the crate now. Nugget would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard for safe play, and ideally, a dog of similar size to keep him company would be perfect. He’s great with everyone—men, women, kids, cats, and dogs of all sizes. He’s a true socialite!

While Nugget has his moments of energy and playfulness, he also loves his snuggle time and enjoys being pampered. He’s learning basic commands and would benefit from some training classes, but it’s not a requirement. With a little extra confidence-building, Nugget has the potential to be a great performance dog too, though he’d also be more than happy to cuddle up and be treated like the little prince he is.

If you’re looking for a sweet, active, and affectionate companion, Nugget might just be the perfect fit for you!
