Meet Chance, a beautiful Pomeranian with a gentle soul. This sweet boy is in his senior years, but don’t tell him that. He was originally found wandering stray in the Chicago suburbs with a freshly groomed coat. His owners didn’t surface during his stray hold and that is how he came to join IDR+.
In his foster home, he was quite confused on day one but got used to his new schedule pretty quickly. He absolutely loves his people and is very social – he loves to follow everyone around, especially in the kitchen! When he wants a little snack, he stands up on his back legs and will wave to you. He isn’t a big fan of the crate but he’s very respectful of the home so doesn’t really need one. He sleeps quietly on a dog bed at night in his foster parent’s bedroom. He is perfectly housetrained and enjoys his time outside sniffing around the yard on a nice day.
Chance is fine with other dogs but should only be placed with calm dogs that won’t jump on him or accidentally harm him – he’s a slow moving guy and can be a little unsteady on his feet at times. He is also fine with cats. He is good with the children in his foster home – it’s more people to shower him with affection.
Chance is a good boy looking for a happy retirement home to enjoy his golden years. Could that be you?
