Meet Cami, a sweet and tiny 9 lb, 4-year-old black Chihuahua who recently arrived at her foster home after being surrendered to CACC for a reason that tugs at the heart – “attention.” She’s still adjusting to this big change in her life, and understandably, her world feels upside down right now. She’s scared and uncertain, but with patience, she’s beginning to trust her new foster mom. This little one does have a grade 3 heart murmur, which will need to be monitored at her regular vet visits. She is otherwise in good shape and had one bad tooth pulled.

Though she’s a little shy at first, Cami is starting to warm up. When she feels insecure, she retreats to her crate, her safe space. So far, she’s been a quiet and respectful houseguest, showing that she’s not one to make a fuss. It’s clear that a calm, quiet home would be her ideal environment – somewhere where she can feel secure and take her time to build confidence.

Cami seems to do okay with calm dogs and doesn’t mind the resident cat, happily giving them their space. She’s crate trained and seems to be housebroken, so she’s well on her way to settling into a routine.

Cami just needs a little time, love, and understanding to thrive. Would you be the quiet, patient home she needs?
