Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. Meet Rexx!

Rexx is one of our longest-term dobes, having been in our program for several months. He is about 1.5 years old, and true to his age, he is a rambunctious and playful Doberman.
Rexx would benefit with another dog friend who matches his energy, or an experienced dobe caretaker familiar with the breed and what they need to thrive. He desperately craves training of any kind – so an agility course or nose work would be fun for this guy! While Rexx has not been cat tested, he does have high energy and may be best separated from small critters.

Rexx has had a bit of a rocky start to life having been bounced around at such an early age. He will require a lot of time, patience and understanding as he learns your routine and settles into his surroundings. We all know how sensitive Dobermans can be, so please be mindful that his transition to your home may not be super smooth in the beginning. However, he is crate trained & housebroken, and if you have a yard for him to play in, all the better!
