Meet Luna, a beautiful 2-year-old black and tan Doberman who weighs 60 lbs and is ready to find her forever home. Luna was surrendered to IDR+ after her family had a baby, and unfortunately, she struggled to adjust, eventually being moved to the garage.

Luna is a sweet princess at heart, and she absolutely loves to snuggle, especially enjoying belly rubs. She has good house manners, doesn’t bother anything, and crates nicely if needed. Though Luna has a gentle, affectionate nature, she can be dog selective. She gets along with smaller dogs and completely ignores the cat in the household, but she doesn’t get along with other dogs. She may be best as an only princess in her forever home.

Luna is housetrained and would benefit from some fine-tuning with her leash manners. She would love a home with a securely fenced yard, preferably a privacy fence for added comfort.

Sadly, Luna is heartworm positive, so she won’t be available for adoption until her treatment is complete. She had her first round of heartworm treatment on March 24th, 2025, and her next round of shots will be on April 24-25th. Despite this, Luna remains a total sweetheart, and with a patient and loving owner, she will blossom into the loyal and affectionate companion she is meant to be. If you’re looking for a calm, loving dog to share your life with, Luna may just be your perfect match.
