Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. The adoption fee includes vet exam, FIV/FeLV test, age-appropriate spay/neuter through IDR+ approved vet, age-appropriate vaccinations, fecal test, flea and ear mite check, and microchip. Please email cats@ildoberescue.com for more information.

Tonic is a handsome, buff tabby boy who has been returned back to IDR+ with his sister Gin through no fault of their own. They were adopted as kittens back in 2018 and reluctantly returned as the owner fell on hard times. Gin and Tonic are siblings but not a bonded pair, so they can be adopted together or separately.

Tonic is a friendly but cautious cat who will patiently wait at your feet to get some love and attention, but he will give you a few meows to remind you that he is still waiting if you do not comply. He is good with other friendly cats and tolerates dogs that don’t bother him. He is a gentle goofball but prefers to play with his human rather than other cats, and he some times will annoy his sister for fun.

Tonic is not a fan of the paparazzi, so foster mom is having a hard time getting a good picture of his handsome face with ears up. Prince Tonic is wishing for a family who will love him as much as he loves his human.
